The ACCC has announced that non-bank lenders are now required to begin sharing product data - including interest rates, fees, and eligibility criteria - through the Consumer Data Right framework, with full consumer data sharing phased in from 9 November 2026. The expansion brings at least 35 new data holders into the CDR. Over 1.3 million Australians currently use CDR, up 135 per cent over the past year. This is a financial sector data-sharing reform with no AI or algorithmic governance content.
